This Week in Six Sides - News and Notes
PWTorch.com is reporting that TNA Knockout Tara, real name Lisa Marie Varon, has backstage heat with The Beautiful People which is the root of recent reports that she is "difficult to work with." Apparently, Varon has issues with the fact that the BP will not take certain offensive moves of hers during matches and that she is not a fan of their in-ring ability.

It's being reported that Varon has aired these complaints to TNA management several times, and even requested to work with ODB on a recent house show tour as opposed to the BP. This was seen as a sign of disrespect by the BP, as backstage protocol is usually to go to talent with any issues you might have rather than going to management behind the talent's backs.

It should be noted that Varon was reportedly very easy to work with in WWE and apparently had none of the issues in that company which she now has in TNA. Varon has apparently been telling people close to her that she wants to return to WWE when her current TNA deal expires.

There is talk in TNA of having Ric Flair turn babyface. However, it's being said that Flair has been resistant.

According to Dave Meltzer, Taz has been pushing for the creative team to bring in Mike Knox who was recently released from WWE.

Following this week’s news of TNA Impact returning to Thursday nights, TNA World Heavyweight Champion Rob Van Dam said the following on his official website RobVanDam.com:

“I think instead of dividing the fans, Thursdays offer more accessibility and should allow for us to grow."

Heyman to TNA, Russo Stepping Down, Injuries and more
Vince Russo, as we have reported over the last several weeks, said he is going to take a break from writing, but will remain with the company and move to Nashville as noted last week. Russo intends to continue giving his input, but will remove himself as head writer. The move to step down was based solely on Russo, as he has been cited as being burnt out over the last few weeks.

With Russo’s decision to step down as head writer, Dave Meltzer reports that there has been an escalation in talk regarding Paul Heyman coming in. Those within TNA, and are close to Heyman, believe he will indeed sign with the company. Heyman signing with TNA would come off as a surprise when you consider his past relationship with Bischoff, whom have both thrown verbal jabs against one another throughout the 90’s decade.

Dixie Carter posted the following on her Twitter account:

"HATE these reports. Angelina Love suffered a partial bicep tear & complete ulnar collateral ligament tear at iMPACT taping. Out a few weeks "

Ring announcer David Penzer has been telling people he is looking to leave TNA as he is burnt out. He has worked with TNA since 2005 and was best know for his appearances with World Championship Wrestling between 1995 and 2001.

Shark Boy's contract is up soon and it doesn't appear that he'll be signed to a new deal since he hasn't been used for a long time.

Styles Upset over Title Loss
According to Steve Gerweck, AJ Styles was not happy about dropping the TNA World Title to Rob Van Dam on Monday's Impact. Styles was also upset over the ending of the match when RVD did not hook the leg for the pinfall.

Gerweck also reports that, after the match, Styles packed his things and left the building without speaking to anyone.

There were mixed feelings to the situation, with some feeling that Styles has gotten an ego and others agreeing with the idea that TNA made Styles look weak with the booking of the RVD match.

Daffney injured at IMPACT taping
TNA Knockout Daffney was injured in a tryout match prior to the start of tonight’s Impact taping from Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. Daffney was working with independent worker Betsy Ruth (who also works as Miss Betsy), a student of the Team 3D Wrestling Academy.

The injury occurred when Betsy hit a bonsai drop off the ropes, crushing Daffney. Daffney laid motionless for several minutes as an ambulance was called and a stretcher was brought out. The bottom ring rope was removed to get her out.

Upon loading her on the stretcher, Daffney was moving her hands. Ring announcer Dave Penzer addressed the crowd, saying she is going to be OK but everything was done for precautionary purposes. Daffney was transported to a near-by hospital.

I sure hope TNA does not hire this broad. Maybe she's a good wrestler in her other matches, but honestly all of the people that Team 3D train never stand out as excellent wrestlers, and seem far from safe to work with. Nothing against Team 3D, but maybe TNA should look at this and think about the next recruit they let in from their wrestling school.

More on Waltman, Angle's Movie Career and more
According to Mike Johnson, TNA had known since Wednesday or Thursday that Sean Waltman would not be at the TNA Lockdown PPV. Rumors as to why he missed to show range from him being sick (he appeared at an indy show on Saturday night) to having an issue with being licensed in Missouri.

At this point, he is expected to appear at the TV tapings this week in some fashion.

TNA will shoot tonight's IMPACT live from the IMPACT Zone in Orlando, Florida tonight at 8pm EST.

The official theme song for TNA's Sacrifice PPV will be Shake It Out by the Manchester Orchestra.

Kurt Angle wrote on Twitter last week that he has five movies finishing in 2010. Angle also mentioned that Kurt Angle's Foodies Cafe will open in Pittsburgh's strip district next Monday. Angle will be appearing for the Cafe's opening.
