Hogan talks about Returning to Wrestling
The Riverfront Times in St. Louis has a brief interview with Hulk Hogan up and here are some highlights:
On his returning to the ring: "I really didn't want to wrestle, but I got into a situation with TNA when the fans are chanting 'Hogan! Hogan!', it's hard to say no. I painted myself in a corner. Now I'm fighting a tag-team match March 8 with Abyss against Ric Flair and AJ Styles. I did that to myself, but I really shouldn't be wrestling anymore." What advice he would give baseball star Mark McGwire about the fallout from his steroid admission: "I don't know his situation too well. But the only advice I have is don't play a game with the fans. You've got to come to come clean. Don't cling to half truths, either. I tried that during an interview on Arsenio Hall. I said I wasn't on steroids, which was half true. I wasn't when he asked me. But had I been? Yes. My advice is to lay it all out there." On why his feud with Ric Flair has continued: "I think it's the fans. There's a real energy there. On a personal note I think he's the greatest wrestler ever. He's better than Lou Thesz, Gorgeous George -- you name it. But it's the fans. They are the ones that keep this going." Lowest IMPACT Rating of Hogan Era (ha ha)
Last night’s episode of TNA Impact on SpikeTV scored
a 1.14 (1.1) cable rating, with 1.5 million viewers. This marks the
lowest number yet during the Hulk Hogan-Eric Bischoff regime.
There might concern people in the company as they get ready for Monday nights against Wrestlemania-fueled WWE programming. Posted on 26 Feb 2010 by sTr
Hogan/Flair Return to Ring for March 8th IMPACT
At the end of this Weeks IMPACT Hogan announced that Ric Flair would be coming out of retirement to team up with AJ "Stylin' and Profilin'" Styles to face Hogan and his version of Abyss. Awesome, except I would rather watch AJ Styles vs Abyss and Hogan vs. Flair. Scratch that, I rather just watch AJ Styles vs. Abyss. Don't get me wrong, I hope TNA gives WWE a run for it's money, because raw has been on the balls balls side of things for quite some time.
March 8th is coming up soon, so make sure you tell everyone you know to Cross the Line and check out IMPACT on it's new night, there's guaranteed to be some good things happening. Posted on 26 Feb 2010 by sTr
Foley Sex Tape/OJ Story Line/TNA House Shows
Mick Foley appeared on the Opie & Anthony radio show earlier this week and one of the hosts
said that after the show, Foley said he would be back this Friday and
would play the audio of a sex tape he made with his wife Collette. It's
no secret that Foley is a big adult entertainment fan but this could just be a joke from Opie & Anthony.
The new bi-sexual storyline with Orlando Jordan got off to a bad start with TNA and Spike TV officials as neither of them were happy with the way Jordan’s male companion was rubbing him in the bit that didn’t air on Impact. The guy with Jordan is the same guy that was with him when he got fired from WWE a few years back. It was reported a few weeks back that Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff wanted to do away with house show events until they got everything in TNA on the right track. That looks to be off now after great live event business in the month of January, after really low numbers in November and December. Jeff Jarrett, Don West and Jeremy Borash are running the live events. Posted on 25 Feb 2010 by sTr
Changes to Abyss/News on Nasty Boys - Team 3D Feud
The Abyss character is in the process of being changed as part of his storyline in TNA with Hulk Hogan. Word is that Abyss will drop most of the neurotic elements of the character and will be portrayed as somewhat untouchable as the changes are made.
LAME The Nasty Boys have been telling people backstage that they want to have a six-month feud with Team 3D. On the other hand, Team 3D has been saying they want out of the feud sooner than later. The feud may end at the Lockdown PPV. Of course the Nasty Boys want the feud to last for six months, that's six months longer then they have worked in over a decade. Team 3D is smart, get rid of these sacks of shitty wrestling and get on with your careers. Posted on 24 Feb 2010 by sTr
Flair's Wife Arrested for Assaulting Ric
TMZ reports that Jacqueline Beems, wife of Ric Flair, was arrested Sunday night after allegedly assaulting her husband.
Police were called to their home in Charlotte, North Carolina at about 11:40PM Sunday night. The police report says that Flair suffered minor injuries but declined medical treatment. Beems was taken into custody. No weapons were used, according to reports. The couple got married in 2009. A representative of Ric Flair issued the following statement to TMZ.com in regards to Flair's wife being arrested last night: "Ric and his wife had an unfortunate disagreement late last night, which led to his wife being arrested and charged with assault. Ric has done nothing wrong." Posted on 22 Feb 2010 by sTr
Suicide Character Staying in TNA?
The man behind the Suicide mask at this weekend's TNA live events is Frankie Kazarian. The Suicide character is still planned to be kept but other names are under consideration for the role. It was believed before that Kiyoshi would be playing the role but apparently other names are still under consideration.

Bischoff Responds to Fans on Facebook
Eric Bischoff has started his own Facebook account and seems to be answering questions that the fans are submitting to him. Here a some that he has answered so far.
Q: My question is on the move on March 8th. It seems like instead of getting off to the fast start you've rather shot yourself in the foot. I must say I don't want TNA very much, not because it's a bad show, but because I really don't have the time. I've been very unimpressed with WWE over the last 3 years and while I'm a...ll for the idea of the two shows going head to head, why now? Don't you feel like it would be smarter to wait until after WWE's Backlash rather than try to go head to head with them in the two months of the year where they actually try put on halfway decent (and that's being generous) television? Did that ever come up in conversation and is there a reason you guys chose to do it in WWE's peak rather than a couple months later? Eric: The television audience drops significantly during the spring/summer months. Fall brings Monday Night Football. There is never an easy answer, but I think that all things considered, this is the best time to pull this trigger. EB Q: Whose decision was it to abandon the six sided ring? It was one of the key things that made TNA unique.."Four Sides of Steel" just doesn't have the same ring to it..it gave guys with quickness and speed, such as the X Division guys, room to create some excellent matches..the current ring looks really small, and somebo...dy is going get hurt at ringside.. I DVR TNA Impact and watch it during the weekend..and I enjoy the Flair/AJ angle..Flair is finally being used to full effect..wondering why Jeff Hardy is not on TV..that signing was absolutely critical to the future of the company..having him avaliable at tapings is essential.. Eric: Not everyone agrees with the move to a traditional wrestling ring, but I must say that the vast majority of the response we have received has been positive. I hope there are enough other "positives" about TNA to keep you watching! EB Q: You guys NEED another TV show. There's far too much talent in TNA (and probably more coming in) to fit on just 2 hours every week. I'm not suggesting a complete roster split, but just another two hour show so you can showcase some of the guys who we don't get to see very often. What would be awesome is if you kept your... Thursday night slot, even when you go live on Mondays. Then, you could do a live Impact every week, and the following day you could tape a Thursday night show. The schedule wouldn't be drastically different from how it is now. Plus, you could slow the pace of the show down a little bit as you wouldn't need to cram so much in. Overall though, I have enjoyed Impact more than ever since you and Hogan came in, so for that I thank you. Eric: Easy to go from the "perception" of having too much talent and the problem of effectively splitting a roster. Thanks for the comments. EB Again, Eric Bischoff has started an official Facebook fan page. Click here to check it out. He is answering questions to those that write on his wall and is accepting/reading feedback about TNA's direction and last night's show. Posted on 19 Feb 2010 by sTr
Update on Destination-X/Angle Pulled from IMPACT
Sources report that next month's Destination X PPV will not be an all-X Division event, despite previous reports and advertising for the show. One TNA source noted that "it would look like an indy show" because there aren't enough X Division wrestlers who are over enough. Word is that the X Division will be heavily featured on the PPV and the Ultimate X match will still take place.
The controversial footage of Orlando Jordan and his new male companion was not shown on last night's Impact. No word yet if it was Spike or TNA that decided not to air it. A correspondent at the tapings said that the two didn't kiss but Jordan's male companion put his hands all over Jordan's body and went very slow around his crotch. They are doing a bi-sexual gimmick with Jordan as he came to the ring last night with the new male and a female companion. It's no secret that Jordan is really bi-sexual. Posted on 19 Feb 2010 by sTr
