Update on the Monday Situation
Spike TV has posted their schedule for Thursday, March 4th, 2010 and TNA IMPACT isn't on it.
This seems to indicate that the plan is still to air Impact on Monday that week. Over on the enemy front Dave Meltzer reports that there is talk within WWE of making RAW three-hours each week if TNA moves to Monday nights for good. Apparently the USA Network is high on RAW going to three-hours but Vince and Stephanie McMahon are both said to be against it. Word is that this is something being talked about a lot among some in the company. Sounds great to me, that would kill Raw faster then 3 hours killed Nitro. At least Nitro was putting out a quality product when they made the switch to 3 hours, not for much longer after, but at least they had a good Start. Raw on the other hand has a good show once every three months, if you're lucky. Posted on 30 Jan 2010 by sTr
ROH Sues Ric Flair
Ring of Honor has filed a lawsuit against Ric Flair, alleging that Flair owes the company over $40,000. The suit was filed this past Thursday in Bucks County, PA. ROH says that Ric Flair was signed to make five appearances for the company, at $10,000 per appearance. Flair did not make the appearance in Montreal in July of 2009, and failed to repay the $10,000 that was paid to him for the event. Also, the suit alleges that Flair came to terms with the company to appear in an authority figure role on the ROH TV show. Flair was paid $35,000 for the TV appearances and only made one appearance. The second taping is when Flair showed up, and made a brief announcement to the crowd that he was resigning due to his relationship with WWE. The belief was that Flair was going to use his relationship with ROH so that his son Reid could work there and continue his pro wrestling education. Those plans never happened, due to Reid being arrested on several drug charges last year. At this time, ROH has made no official comment on the deal. Posted on 29 Jan 2010 by sTr
IMPACT Scores Record Rating on Thursday Nights
This week's edition of TNA IMPACT scored a 1.4 rating (nearly 2 million viewers) making it the highest rated edition of the program on Thursday nights.
The bad news is that the first quarter was the highest and the rating dropped as the show went on. However, it went back up for the main event. The first hour did a 1.46 and the second hour did a 1.30. The show opened with a 1.51, so there was some interest coming off the screwjob storyline. Dixie Carter posted the following messages on Twitter: "Just heard from Spike Prez, Kevin Kay. iMPACT! did record numbers last night. A 1.4 rating!! Toasting in Manchester." "Thanks to all our amazing fans! We are so lucky to you!!" Posted on 29 Jan 2010 by sTr
Recap of Bischoff/Hogan on BTLS
Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff appeared on Howard 101 on Friday with Bubba The Love Sponge to give "The State of TNA" address.
On naming talent they could bring from WWE, Hogan says he'd want Cena, Orton and Big Show cause he's never been used right, Bischoff disagrees. - Bischoff on Big Show - "I don't think he's ever been committed. I have a problem with Show. He's always been lazy." Caller: If you HAD TO fight one guy in TNA who would it be? Hogan: Depends on how full of himself AJ Styles gets. - Hogan said that "inside sources" claim the original plan was for Bret Hart to face Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania. - Hogan: "Abyss is awesome and he's my next John Cena." - Hogan said TNA's big selling point for the Montreal Angle is that they have Earl Hebner and WWE doesn't. - They put over Pope big time too (especially Bischoff). - Hogan said he's pushing for Impact on Mondays everyday but also denied it's happening soon. He said March 1st would indeed be a good starting point though. - Bischoff claims he doesn't know anything about TNA moving to Monday nights, nor the March 1st show. - Hogan would love to have Randy Savage in TNA to manage Black Machismo. - Bischoff: "Lacey is scary hot." - Bischoff and Hogan are high on Desmond Wolfe. - Bischoff's response to Honky Tonk Man saying he's coming to TNA: "I'd rather drive a rusty icepick through my eye than work a day with him." "Honky's worthless and can't draw flies." - Bischoff said the story is complete BS Well let's hope what Bischoff said about the Honky Tonk Man is true, well the not coming to TNA part, because we all know that him being BS, worthless and unable to draw flies are all fact. Good to see that they like Abyss and some of the younger talent in TNA, let's just see what they can do with it. Posted on 29 Jan 2010 by sTr

IMPACT Expected To Air Monday Nights Full-Time!
According to Dave Meltzer, the decision has been made behind the scenes to have TNA Impact air on Monday nights full-time. It's unknown when an official announcement will be made.
The change is expected to be made in early March but it's still unknown if the show will air from 9-11 or 8-10 to give TNA an unopposed first hour. The plan at this point is to tape shows every other week with Monday being live and a Tuesday taping airing the following Monday. The general feeling is that the Thursday ratings don't matter and there is more potential for growth of product interest on Monday nights. Source: F4WOnline.com Posted on 27 Jan 2010 by sTr

Next TNA Monday Special Possibly March 1st
After TNA Monday night special on January 4th drew a strong 1.5 cable rating, it appears Spike TV has scheduled another live TNA broadcast to go head-to-head with WWE RAW.
According to news correspondent Devin Cutting, Spike TV has scheduled a second Monday night TNA Impact episode on March 1st from 9-11 PM EST head-to-head with WWE RAW. Comedy duo Cheech & Chong are scheduled to host WWE RAW that night. No official announcement has been made yet from either Spike TV or TNA Wrestling. There is also no word on whether the show will be live or taped. TNA originally had their Australian tour that would have run from late February to early March, but it was rescheduled due to "changes in the U.S. TV production schedule." Source: PWTorch.com **UPDATE** The TNA Impact taping hotline for Universal Studios has been updated with March 1st and 2nd now being listed as Impact taping dates. It is looking like this will be a live Impact going against RAW. The new taping dates are not listed on TNA’s website at this point. Posted on 27 Jan 2010 by sTr
Another Friend of Hogan Coming to TNA
Former WWF Intercontinental Champion The Honky Tonk Man posted the following image on his website, as well as a message stating that he is close to signing with TNA. His site noted that he has been talking with TNA since December. This needs to stop happening, I could have delt with OJ, Sean Morley and even the Nasty Boyz to a certain extent. The Honky Tonk man has nothing left to give the business, the best thing he ever did for wrestling was disappear. This is just one more notch on the wall for Hogan's camp, and many more crappy matches for us to get stuck watching. We need this to stop, if not, the next thing you know we'll have Bootyman 2000 as TNA Champ, please don't let that happen. Source: HonkyTonkMan.net **UPDATE**
It is being reported that the Honky Tonk Man has turned down an invitation from the WWE to be inducted to the HOF this year due to "prior engagements" Posted on 26 Jan 2010 by sTr
